The Artist’s Studio was established on the ground of Chelsea Mansion in 2012 by Steve Lampasona- an internationally recognized oil painter whose architectural realism focuses on downtown Manhattan where he lives.
The School was created in the wake of the closing of the Art Education Program at the Nassau County Museum of Art due to Hurricane Sandy. Steve was the lead instructor for 28 years and cultivated an enormous following. He also taught at the Stevenson Academy and at The Art League of Long Island. He has now transferred his knowledge, experience and skills to running his own art school- fulfilling a long-held dream.
Together with his Associate, Ellen Hallie Schiff, an Abstract Oil Painter well known in her own right, Steve and Ellen have been able to provide a comfortable, congenial environment to create and learn.
